
Systems Plus Office Service, Inc. started when our founder, John Page, fell victim to downsizing almost twenty years ago.
John had worked at a large office supply company. Starting in the mid-80s, a wave of large corporations bought out most of the office supply operations in the area.
John suddenly found himself out of a job. Along with his son Troy, he decided to try his hand in the business world. They started off with "four hundred dollars and a pickup truck," according to Troy.
Right off the bat, the Page men noticed a need in the market. The newer, bigger office supply companies had liquidated their installation departments in favor of less-experienced subcontractors.
John and Troy started Systems Plus Office Service, Inc. in 1991 to meet the demand for skilled installers. Their first client, ironically, was John's former employer.
Systems Plus grew gradually and eventually required more staff. Soon enough the Pages brought Troy's brother and sister, John Jr. and Jodi, on board. Systems Plus went from installing office furniture systems to servicing them, and from servicing existing office furniture systems to distributing new and refurbished office furniture.
Today Systems Plus is a family owned, full-service office furniture supply company servicing the Harrisburg and Central PA area with a commitment to customer service that competitors can't (or won't) match. Our beginnings laid the foundation for our values: we are a service company that added a sales department. Not the other way around.
